Some of you do not think that learning to use English to communicate better is necessary. Some even give the excuse that it is not their mother tongue. The truth is that whether it is your mother tongue or not, this is the language of science. It is a global language. You may not agree with it, but most writers and most contents that you consume are in English.

Indeed, I got an editorial contract for a PhD thesis from Olabisi Onabanjo University some two years ago. I have never seen a more hopeless work. However, because of the person that brought the young man, I accepted to do it. I must confess that I did not know the work was that bad. Even my undergraduate supervisees that I thought there work was bad were writing better than this young man. I almost returned the work to him with his money. However, whenever I remembered who brought him and the way he begged me that he was in desperate need of help and lacked the money to support the need, I decided to stuck it out. In actual fact, I had to inform him that I would not be able to finish as quickly as I thought. That work took me an upward of about two weeks or more to conclude. It was that bad. And it was basically that he did not know how to express himself in the English language.
Now, the twisted part was his accusing me later that I never edited the work. The nerve of him. I have made every effort to get him to pay since then, but he never did. Even every attempt to get him to see reason had proved abortive. However, this has forced us to now demand that it is now pay before delivery.
Nonetheless, the important thing here is that if he had a good command of the English language, he would not be such a pain in the neck. One would have been focused on helping to improve on the construction and make it to say what he wanted to say better rather than teaching him kindergarten English in his PhD thesis!

It does not matter what seemed not to have been working in your life since January 2025. In this new month of March, God will surprise you. Just connect with Him with your faith. He is more than able to grant you your heart’s desire once they align with His revealed will for your life. The most important thing you need to do is to find out about His plan for your life through His word and align with it.
Remember to celebrate the women in your life. They deserve to be serenaded by you. They must have made such difference in your life. At least, one of them brought you to life through her womb.
